The Caterham 275R SV we are offering today is a French-origin example, delivered in December 2020 by SV Automobiles, Caterham’s official distributor, to its first owner.

This particular car stands out thanks to its striking configuration, featuring a Caterham Exclusive Viper Blue metallic paint. The interior is trimmed in carbon-effect leather on the seats and transmission tunnel.

This 275R is powered by a Ford-sourced 1.6L Sigma engine, paired with a 5-speed Mazda gearbox — a version that is now no longer available in the Dartford manufacturer’s catalogue.

Beyond its configuration, this 275R was generously specified when new, notably with the R Pack, which includes a limited-slip differential, a lightweight flywheel, and adjustable suspension. It also features an FIA roll bar, a removable flat-bottom Momo steering wheel, harnesses, a full weather gear (rain kit), and a Stilo intercom system.

This example is equipped with the wider SV chassis, along with a lowered floor. This combination provides improved cabin space and greater comfort, making it ideal for taller drivers.

This Caterham has had two owners, both of whom maintained it through SV Automobiles. We have the invoices for its annual servicing. The most recent service was carried out in February 2026 and included engine and gearbox oil changes, spark plug replacement, and tightening of the front and rear suspension components.

This now-discontinued 275R version, derived from the legendary Lotus Seven, represents a pure driving machine that is becoming increasingly rare. As Colin Chapman famously said, “light is right.” All that remains is for you to experience it behind the wheel, whether on mountain roads or on track.
