Ferrari 812 GTS

The Ferrari 812 GTS is one of the most impressive open Ferraris of modern times. The model represents the open variant of the 812 Superfast and delivers a combination of extreme performance, a naturally aspirated V12 and open top driving that has become increasingly rare today.

Beneath the long bonnet lies a 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 producing an astonishing 800 hp at 8,500 rpm and 718 Nm of torque. This makes the 812 GTS one of the most powerful front engined open production cars ever built. Thanks to this engine, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 340 km/h.

What makes the 812 GTS even more special is the fact that Ferrari returned to a front engined V12 spider in its regular model range after nearly fifty years. The last time Ferrari offered such a configuration was with the iconic Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider in 1969. This means the 812 GTS is not only a modern supercar, but also a tribute to Ferrari’s heritage.

The roof consists of an electrically operated hardtop that opens or closes in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to approximately 45 km/h. This allows the car to combine the elegance of a coupé with the pure experience of open top driving, while maintaining structural rigidity and torsional stiffness that are nearly identical to the closed 812 Superfast.

In addition to its brutal performance, the 812 GTS features advanced technologies such as rear wheel steering (Passo Corto Virtuale), Ferrari’s latest generation Side Slip Control, magnetorheological dampers and a lightning fast 7 speed dual clutch transmission. This ensures the car remains remarkably precise and controllable despite its immense power.

The elegant exterior is enhanced by a contrasting historic ‘Bianco King’ livery running across the entire body, combined with forged wheels in ‘Argento Nürburgring’, finished with matching ‘Argento Nürburgring’ hub caps, resulting in a timeless and highly exclusive appearance.

This remarkable configuration is inspired by the legendary Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa of Scuderia Askolin from Finland. Scuderia Askolin was a relatively small yet passionate privateer racing team, active during the 1950s and 1960s. The team became known for its bold and recognizable colour schemes, setting itself apart from traditional factory and factory-supported teams. This strong identity and willingness to stand out made Scuderia Askolin cars highly appreciated among enthusiasts and collectors.

The characteristic livery of the original 250 Testa Rossa, with its contrasting accents and distinctive roundels, served as the inspiration for this Tailor Made specification. In this 812 GTS, that historic design language is translated in a modern way, creating a unique bridge between Ferrari’s rich racing heritage and contemporary exclusivity.

The interior is truly on another level. Fully finished in exclusive ‘Connolly Vaumol’ leather in “House Lords Red”, the cabin embodies pure Ferrari heritage combined with modern craftsmanship. The Tailor Made execution without Cavallino on the headrests, tone-on-tone stitching, and the extensive use of leather throughout the interior elevate this specification far beyond standard.
