Popis prodejce
Sunny summer days are all well and good, but there is surely a part of you that dreams of strapping a pair of skis to the roof of your sports car and heading for the mountains... well... Now you can...The phenomenon of the slightly lifted enthusiast or sports car arguably began in modern times as an idea in Leh Keen’s mind. He reintroduced classic Porsches modified into "Safari" cars—a concept that proved to be a massive success. So much so, in fact, that major manufacturers took notice of this type of vehicle. Why weren't modern cars being offered in "Safari" variants? Porsche raised the ride height of a 992 GTS and called it the Dakar. But Lamborghini went the whole hog—as Lamborghini is wont to do—and introduced the Huracán Sterrato. As the name suggests, it is based on the V10 Huracán platform, yet the end product is something entirely different.
Ideally, you should approach this bizarre creation from the side profile. That is when you get the best view of the car's many unique features. What catches the eye first is likely the wheel arch extensions—boldly finished in contrasting black to accommodate the beefier wheels. More sidewall. More tread. More ride height. Simply... more of everything. From this angle, you also notice the roof rack—an optional extra that perfectly allows you to carry skis, a bike, or—well—anything else you couldn't load onto your "ordinary" Huracán. The metallic grey finish, known as Grigio Lynx, is broken up by matte black elements, while orange brake calipers provide further contrast.
And the interior? Carbon-fiber bucket seats and a roll cage, all trimmed in Alcantara—featuring a mix of black and military green elements. Everything is tied together with contrasting orange stitching that beautifully echoes the exterior's accent color. The driving modes that normally focus on spirited road and track driving in a Huracán have been replaced here by a new "Rally" mode, better adapting the car to its new capabilities. And these are capabilities that, surprisingly enough, suit the platform exceptionally well. A mid-mounted naturally aspirated engine, ten cylinders, and an advanced all-wheel-drive system prove to be a winning recipe for having fun on any surface.
This specific example was sold new in Sweden and remains with its first owner, showing a mere 2,280 kilometers on the odometer. The Huracán Sterrato represents a wonderful chapter in modern automotive history; with only 1,499 units produced, it is an obvious addition to any collection for someone seeking something truly unique yet highly usable.
