Popis prodejce

– 2024 Toyota GR Yaris Rovanperä Edition, chassis 142/200
– One of only 200 produced worldwide, and just 100 left-hand-drive
– Never driven; delivered to a VIP collector and retained exactly as it left the factory
– Believed to be the only customer-delivered example still wearing all factory transport plastics and shipping tags, including on the wheels
– Factory tribute to Kalle Rovanperä, two-time and youngest-ever WRC World Champion

Daytona Automobil presents a truly exceptional modern collector car: the Toyota GR Yaris Rovanperä Edition, model year 2024, offered in an unused, delivery-state condition that is effectively impossible to replicate. This example, number 142 of only 200 cars built, is one of just 100 left-hand-drive cars worldwide and has never been driven. It remains exactly as it left the factory, still wearing all protective transport plastics, labels and shipment tags, even on the wheels.

According to our research, this is believed to be the only Rovanperä Edition delivered to a private client that has remained completely untouched. It was sold new to a VIP customer and collector, preserved from day one as a reference-level example. From a collectability standpoint, this places the car in an entirely different category from “low mileage” examples. This is not a used car, it is a factory-fresh car.

The GR Yaris Rovanperä Edition is fundamentally different from both the standard GR Yaris and the Ogier Edition. Toyota did not treat this as a cosmetic special. Instead, the car’s drivetrain logic, differential behavior, and driving modes were re-engineered around how Kalle Rovanperä actually drives. This makes it one of the most driver-specific road cars ever produced by a major manufacturer.

Key technical distinctions define the Rovanperä Edition. The all-wheel-drive system uses driver-specific AWD logic, developed directly with Rovanperä, rather than a generic performance calibration. The standard Track and Gravel modes were removed entirely and replaced by Rovanperä-only drive modes. Among these is the much-discussed Donut Mode, engineered not for brief oversteer but for sustained donuts and door-to-door drift maneuvers, reflecting modern rally show culture.

The Kalle Mode features a fixed 40:60 front-to-rear torque split, delivering constant rear-biased torque rather than the variable behavior found in other GR Yaris variants. This is supported by constant-velocity rear differential gears, fitted specifically to maintain stable, predictable drift behavior under load. These are not software tricks alone; they are hardware-level changes that make this car mechanically distinct.

Visually, the car is equally unique. It features a three-tone exterior paint scheme, with factory-applied painted motifs rather than decals. The livery was designed by Henri Liupakka, the same designer responsible for Rovanperä’s drift car, giving the road car a direct cultural and visual link to Kalle’s competition world. The CFRP variable rear wing, shared with the GRMN Yaris and unavailable on the standard model, adds both functional downforce and immediate visual recognition.

The car rides on 18x8J BBS forged wheels. Additional factory details include WRC victory stickers, Rovanperä Edition badging, and a reprogrammed digital instrument cluster displaying Rovanperä-specific drive modes. Inside, the cabin features stitching in the Finnish national colours and a dedicated WRC victory plaque.

Understanding the significance of this model requires understanding Kalle Rovanperä himself. He is the youngest WRC driver ever, the youngest WRC event winner (Estonia 2021), and the youngest World Champion in WRC history, achieving the title in 2022 and repeating it in 2023. He is a central figure in Toyota Gazoo Racing’s modern dominance, and unlike many tribute cars, this edition celebrates a career that is still unfolding, not one that has concluded.

This distinction is critical when comparing the Rovanperä Edition to the Ogier Edition. The Ogier car is restrained and commemorative, reflecting a completed legacy. The Rovanperä Edition is bolder, more expressive, and deliberately more extreme. Toyota did not aim for subtlety; they aimed to capture current rally culture, where drifting is embraced rather than suppressed, and personality is part of the game.

From a collector’s perspective, cars that age best are often those that felt slightly mad when new. The Rovanperä Edition fits that pattern precisely. It is instantly recognizable, mechanically unique, culturally relevant, and produced in extremely limited numbers. In untouched, factory-delivery condition like this example, it becomes something more than a collector car, it becomes a reference piece for future generations.

Replacing this example would be effectively impossible. Even finding another Rovanperä Edition with delivery mileage is somewhat difficult; finding one that has never been driven, never unwrapped, and never altered is realistically a one-off opportunity.
